Léon is an indigenous art director, graphic designer, and entrepreneur. With Māori, Samoan, and Dutch roots, he was born in France and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand. His work is incisive, editorial, provocative, cultural, and sometimes witty. Léon was the first New Zealander in a decade, and second ever, accepted into the Cannes Lions Creative Academy. He previously ranked 4th best Art Director at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and was a Finalist for Young New Zealander of the Year 2026.
